Procedures to upgrade to DiagBox v7.77

Procedures to upgrade to DiagBox v7.77 (if you have upgraded to 7.76, It worked from 7.74->7.75->7.76->7.77)
Please notice that this is intended for educational purposes and that you perform any or all the below procedures at your own risk. I hold no responsibility for any issue you may face.

    Procedure 1 (From the internet):
1- Go to C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\ and create another copy of cashe folder naming it cashe.Org
2- Run DiagBox and click on upgrade, after successful download close the application.
3- Run DiagBox it will start the upgrade process and when run for the first time, it will give 6 or 7 error messages, keep klicking ok until DiagBox closes down.
4- Go back to C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\ and delete the folder cashe and rename cashe.org to cashe
5- Run DiagBox and it will run successfully.

    Procedure 2 (Local upgrade):
1- Go to C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\ and create another copy of cashe folder naming it cashe.Org
2- Download the attached file "DB_updt_777.zip", Expand it and copy the contents of the DB_updt_777 folder to C:\AWRoot\dtwr\updt\ directly replacing and overwriting existing files and folders.
3- Run DiagBox, it will start the upgrade process, when it finishes successfully click OK, it run for the first time and will give 6 or 7 error message, keep klicking ok until DiagBox closes down.
4- Go back to C:\AWRoot\bin\fi\ and delete the folder cashe and rename cashe.org to cashe.
5- Run DiagBox and it will run successfully.

If you like to try newer file versions:
3- When you receive the first error message in point 3, DiagBox creates 28 new files in the cashe folder copy this folder into a folder named cashe.cpy, because the contents of the original cashe folder get deleted after the crash. Continue to click on the error message until diagBox closes.
4- Now, copy into the (empty) cashe folder the 13 files that start with fr.actia.AWF.xxxxxxx.dll from the cashe.org and all other files from cashe.cpy.
5- Run DiagBox and it will run successfully.

If you don’t like 7.77 update or you have an issue with it. Run Maitresox’s 7.74 to 7.76 again and it should successfully downgrade it to DiagBox v7.76.

    Bonjour, c'est la 3 éme fois que j'installe jusqu'à la version 7.66.
    car après, je perds l'activation.
    J'ai un doute avant de re-re-re commencer le Update 7.66 -> 7.74 : le fichier APPDIAG.SYS de la version 7.66 me permettrait-il de rétablir l'activation ?

    Merci pour votre retour.

Did you install .NET 3.5 ? Did you run DiagBox as Administrator?

Hi, I am not sure I understand your problem!! and how is it related to DiagBox 7.77 update?

Are you saying that you have diagBox 7.74 working well and when you update to 7.76 you get a message to activate?? Can you explain (in details) your issue and the way you updated (7.62, 7.66, 7.74 etc..) is it possible that your 7.76 update is corrupt and you need to download it again? did you reboot the computer and started 7.74 before applying 7.76 update?. Also, which Windows version and is it on Virtual Machine?. Did you try Windows XP SP3 Compatibility mode?

Also, if your Appdiag.sys is good, you could try deleting contents of "C:\AWRoot\dtwr\updt" folder then try upgrade or downgrade. Ensure that you reboot the computer and restart Diagbox to complete the update and confirm it works, before applying the next upgrade or downgrade.
