DiagBox needs Windows x86 (32 bit)...

If you want to keep Windows 64bit on your computer:
1- Install VMware Workstation Player (VMware) or VirtualBox (Oracle), both are free.
2- Create a Virtual Machine and Install Windows XP SP3 (32bit) on the Virtual Machine, then install .NET 3.5 sp1.
3- Install DiagBox v7.01, then reboot and run Diagbox to complete installation of 7.02.
3- Install updates: 7.xx-7.57 -> 7.57-7.58 -> 7.58-7.62 -> 7.62-7.66 -> 7.66-7.76 -> 7.76-7.82 -> 7.82-7.83.

VirtualBox is faster but VMware player is more compatible.

Salut mon éternelle question.Pourquoi vouloir faire du diag avec Windows 10 64 bit?

I think some people have one notebook (which comes with Windows 10 64bit like most new notebooks) which they attempt to install DiagBox on. Now if they format it and use 32bit system, they loose a lot of the applications that came with it. Because they only use DiagBox few times a year, it is not worth buying a dedicated notebook; for them. The best option in this case, and to stay within (software and hardware) support, is to use a virtual machine..

I personally use a Virtual Machines because I can easily create clones to have multiple testing systems (it takes a couple of minutes), or you can do snapshots (which takes few seconds) to try an update or the likes. While building the system from scratch takes a little less than forever. I also find them fast and convenient since Windows XP requires few resources.

P.S. When Creating clones using VMWare, you only need to ensure that the Network Card has the same MAC address. But when doing that on VirtualBox, it changes Windows UUID, which fails DiagBox activation. Some technical work needs to be done here to maintain complete compatibility, but the easiest way, is to make a copy (like Copy and Past of the whole VM folder) drop the old system and attach the new (because VirtualBox will not allow two system with same Hard disk or machine UUID). However, you can rename it without issues (manually or through menus).

P.S. I have added DiagBox v8 Engines (sounds like a car!!) to the first post in case you like to try them...

I have successfully installed DiagBox 8.01 using DiagBox 7.01 profile... It was not difficult, if a little lengthy process. It seems to be running fine. I need to test updates and if all is well, I may write the process sometime in the future..

Déjà je voulais remercier Maitresox pour tout ce travail.
j'ai moi même pris un abonnement sur 5 ans pour remercier ce forum et surtout toute les personnes qui le font vivre.
pour ma part je me suis inscris pour essayer de programmer mon berlinguo sur différents points.
j’utilise mon pc perso windows 10 64 bits.
c'est pour cela mais je vais prendre un autre pc pour ce logiciel se sera plus simple.
par contre je n'arrive pas a charger diagbox en 7.01 .
les mises a jour sont obligatoire on ne peut pas sauter et mettre directement la dernière apparemment.

je vais persévérer pour essayer de le télécharger.

Vous avez trouvé Diagbox V7.1 = V7.2 avec le lien que vous ai donné?
Je n'ai pas besoin des "Merci" mais c'est une confirmation que je trouve important. A mon avis ça doit être le règle sur le forum.

Update 8.02 installed and ran successfully, but I have not tested it.
It looks very similar to v7.66 (but with Java 7 and it includes VC++ 2008 9.0.30729.17).. This is strange, because I looked into some files and they call for 9.0.21022.8!!
I am considering a write-up on the process, but I have no plans yet.. However, if you install the V8 Engines posted earlier, you will have more or less identical system to DBox 8.

je viens de lire tous ces messages et je trouve raiment déplorable que certains puissent profiter ainsi du travail des autres
surtout qu'il est mis a notre disposition bénévolement
c'est dommage que maitresox veuille arreter, mais dans un sens je le comprend, maintenant la décision lui appartient bien
que moi aussi je souhaiterais qu'il reste parmi nous
